SHAMARKO THOMAS – SAFETY SYRACUSE
At 5′ 9″ and 213 pounds, strong safety Shamarko Thomas is considered undersized at his position in the NFL. However, there is nothing “undersized” about his heart and determination. He overcame overwhelming tragedy (he lost both his mother and his father) while playing football at Syracuse, where he racked up tackles and awards, leading all ‘Cuse defenders in tackles. Taking his talents to the NFL combine, he posted top numbers in the 40 (4.42) and more importantly the vertical jump (40.5) and broad jump (133.0). Thomas plays bigger than his size and is projected to be a later round draft selection.
