The Tennessee Titans have released outside linebacker Shaun Phillips and signed linebacker Dontay Moch from their practice squad. Phillips was signed during the offseason to help bolster the outside linebacker position. An 11 year veteran, Phillips spent the bulk of his career playing for the San Diego Chargers in their 4-3 base defense as a defensive end. Phillips spent the 2013 season playing for the Denver Broncos as an outside pass rusher in their 3-4 base defense where he played in all 16 games racking up 35 tackles and 10 sacks. In 11 games with the Titans, he tallied 19 tackles and two sacks.

A fully vested veteran, Phillips will become an immediate free agent and still collect his $2.5 million dollars in guaranteed money.

The 26 year old Moch has played in five games and has three career tackles.
